The California Association of Addiction Recovery Resources (CAARR) was established in 1972 as a statewide membership association whose mission is to encourage the development, expansion, and continuing quality of alcohol and drug programs through advocacy, education, training and positive role modeling.

Counselor Certification

The Board For Certification of Addiction Specialists (BCAS) has as its purpose to register and certify individuals to ensure their competence in providing quality AOD recovery services. CAS® and CAS II® are available to qualified counselors.
